Re: gavin resto
What with moving house, christmas, new year and the boys building a spray booth things have been a bit hectic and there wasn't a lot of progress being made on gavin.....
James pulled a few eveings in the barn and a 16 hour day this weekend and we have some more progress pics,
some seam sealer on the new welded areas
nice new welded areas
bare metaled and primered waiting for the rest of the welding to be done

Re: gavin resto
James has been a very busy boy again this weekend, and gavin is looking pretty damn good! getting excited now as he is really starting to take some shape.
reforming the front curves of gavins nose,
new front clip
and also worked a little on the drivers side where there was more filler and mush in my poorly little car,
aparently the last two metal repair panels are on order, and once they are in the body is ready for blasting back to bare metal and painting ohhhhhh how exciting yay yay yay

Re: gavin resto
we decided after we had finished the floor pan and it was in paint and bits were being bolted back on, that we would take it all back off re take the paint back and re paint gloss black rather than satin black!!!
the underside of the pan has also had a couple of coats of underseal??? ( i think thats the stuff)
and the doors, decklid, rear valance, petrol filler cap and glove box lid are all preped primed flattened back and ready for top coat.
just a hell of a lot of work to do on the bonnet as after having grown men jump on it years back it's pretty bumpy :@( bloody vandals :@(
watch this space many pictures hopefully to follow after this weekend woop woop

yeah still working on chester road, just in a red golf now until the bugs done. see a couple of other bugs parked nearby on a regular occassion and pine to have mine back.
the majority of the parts to complete the resto are due monday so fingers crossed we get him finished for jambo/action
having to leave a few major bits to save up for and get done over the winter but should have it semi on the road for the shows, just been over the workshop and the deck lid, and other two wings are being painted as we speak, so it's just the bonnet that needs some more work then thats into the spray booth too.
